Late Ashes of Roses Post #1

Quote #1 “But the rest of the family at least Elsa and Trudy, weren’t as friendly”, Margaret Rose.
Pg.50

Significance:The reason I had choosen this quote from the book is because it got me thinking when Rose was talking about the way she didnt feel being an immigrant because she didnt like the way she was being treated. I mean it like if I immigrated to another place to Europe I wouldnt feel comfortable because I wouldnt like if people treat me bad.

Question: Well, was Elsa the youngest or the oldest out of Trudy & Elsa?

Quote#2:"Here we are America"I whispered. "Were exactly what ye ordered"

Singnificance: When I forst read this, it thought it was sort of funny when it said "Were exactly what ye ordered"because I wouldnt think that an immigrant would like be so happy about migrating somewhere else that is not there home country.

Question: If you were migrating to another country that is not yours, would you be happy? Why or Why not?(But not if you really wanted to go)
